Mission

Six Arrows Business Solutions helps Florida small business owners target success through outsourced accounting and advisory services.

Six Arrows’ Founder

My name is Andrea Townsley and I am the founder of Six Arrows Business Solutions, LLC. I earned a bookkeeping certificate in early 2020 through the National Association of Certified Public Bookkeepers. In that program, I learned the foundations of double-entry bookkeeping, debits and credits, and accrual accounting. I also earned my QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor certification.

Fast forward to 2022 and I decided to go back to school for a second bachelor’s degree in accounting (the first is in psychology); I graduated in June of 2023. This program further cemented my understanding of accounting and bookkeeping. I initially planned to get a master’s and earn my Florida CPA license, but in the end, I fell in love with the perfect balance of journal entries, the art and logic of a good Chart of Accounts, and the ability to give business owners useful and accurate data about their livelihood.

One look through bookkeeping groups on social media really drives home how important it is to not just have an understanding of software but to be solid in accounting fundamentals. It is not enough to know how to input an expense in QuickBooks or be able to match transactions on a bank feed. It is imperative that your virtual bookkeeper comprehend how each entry will affect the Balance Sheet and P&L…the very reports used to reflect the health of the business, obtain loans, get maximum value for your business upon a sale, and to make ongoing decisions for business success.

Values

Here at Six Arrows Business Solutions, I strive to act with integrity at every turn. It is important to be trustworthy, to set expectations and live up to them, and to develop a positive rapport with clients and the community at large. Here are the six main values I try to live by.

  Dependability

Dependability can encompass many different qualities, but for me, it means I do what I say I will do, I show up when I say I’ll show up, and I’ll deliver what I promised I’d deliver. It means you can count on me.

  Accuracy

Being accurate is important when it comes to small business accounting. You can’t make decisions without solid data. This accuracy starts with having a proper Chart of Accounts, by which to correctly categorize your business’s transactions – if these two items are not happening, your data will be off! Bad data and incorrect financial statements lead to poor decisions and a business heading toward the red. We don’t want that! You can rely on me to take care while maintaining your books.

  Communication

It seems that in the digital age, communication is not what it once was. I’ll admit that I dislike talking on the phone (and I’ll also warn you that you will probably hear children in the background), but I believe in being up-front, honest, and quick in responding. If you ask me a question, you will get a real answer and no beating around the bush. If I don’t know the answer, I will try to find out, and I’ll be honest about the limits of my knowledge. You won’t be shoved on the back burner and ignored. I have a policy to respond to every inquiry within 48 business hours, but you will almost always hear back from me the same day.

  Timeliness

Tardiness is not in my nature. I believe that being timely is part and parcel of being dependable and accurate. But more importantly, one of the major facets of accounting is delivering timely data and reports to decisionmakers so they can do what they do! You can’t make good choices to guide your business without having your books current and up to date. I don’t want to ever leave you hanging by missing deadlines.

  Altruism

My faith has led me over the years to have a servant’s heart. God has shaped me into a person who genuinely desires to help people. Sure, bookkeeping is a paid service, and I wouldn’t be a good service provider if I wasn’t helping business owners, but it goes beyond that for me. It is my heart’s desire to be of assistance to you and be truly helpful so your business will prosper.

  Curiosity

Last but definitely not least, I feel it’s important to always maintain a sense of wonder. Being curious has taken me a lot of places in life and it has helped me raise children who are allowed to explore and become themselves. Their interests become my interests and I find myself learning new things alongside them. This is a core tenet of who I am, and it translates perfectly to being a virtual bookkeeper for small businesses! I can dive into your industry – with interest – and learn it inside and out, which allows me to serve you that much better.

These are a couple of “micro-credentials” I earned while in my bachelor’s program at WGU. You can click on them to see a full description of what they entail. I also received an Excellence Award in Values-Based Leadership. When doing my first bachelor’s in psychology, I was on the President’s Honor Roll every semester at UCF (AA to BS).
